Top grade first flush sencha from prize winning company Otsuka. Sencha Hiko is produced in the traditional way, when most was done by hand and some oxidation of the tea took place in the basket of the tea pickers and before the tea was steamed. The leaves are left to wither while turning them by hand to mix them with fresh air. This oxidation process gives the tea a flavour as of Taiwanese green high mountain oolong, and for Japanese people it brings back memories of the taste of tea of the past.
