Hojicha is a brown-coloured, roasted green tea with a mild smoky taste.
This lightly roasted green tea, made of the sweet first flush leaves, is produced by Otsuka, the multiple prize-winning company for best tea of Japan.
Taste: nutty, with caramel and cocoa tones. Low in caffeine and tannin.Hōjicha goes well with oily food or meat dishes and is great as an after-dinner or evening tea. Hot in winter, cold-brew in summer.
